Dr. Wenjie Li

Dr. Wenjie Li's research interests include natural language processing, text mining and automatic summarization. As a key member of cognitive computing lab, she is responsible for conducting research in the area of cognitive linguistics.

Dr. Li is currently an associate professor in the Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. She received the PhD degree from the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 1997. She has published four books and book chapters and more than 200 papers in major international journals and conference proceedings (including top journals ACM TOIS, TALIP, IEEE TKDE, TASLP, TSLP, IS, and top conferences COLING, CIKM, IJCNLP, ACL, SIGIR, AAAI). She has been the principal investigator of many projects related to news event tracking, multi-document summarization, and online opinion retrieval and summarization.
