Dr. Takazumi Matsumoto

Dr. Takazumi Matsumoto's research interests include machine learning, data mining, and the application of GPUs to such applications. As a key member and coordinator of the cognitive computing lab, he will help with the day-to-day operations of the lab, as well as work toward research on applying adaptive meditative techniques to reduce stress in the school environment.

Dr. Matsumoto is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Computing, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his Ph.D. from the same department in 2015, under the Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme. After that, he spent one year as a teaching fellow at the department. Dr. Matsumoto has published several papers in conferences such as ICDM and PAKDD, as well in the Distributed and Parallel Databases (DAPD) and the Journal of Intelligent Information Systems (JIIS).
