Dr. Korris Chung

Dr. Korris Chung's research interests include transfer learning, social network analysis and mining, kernel learning, dimensionality reduction, and big data learning. As a key member of cognitive computing lab, he is responsible for conducting research on large-scale user behavior mining.

Dr. Chung is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computing, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received the B.Sc. degree from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB, Canada, in 1987 and the M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 1991 and 1995, respectively. In 1994, he joined the Department of Computing, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has authored or coauthored over 80 journal papers published in the areas of soft computing, data mining, machine intelligence, and multimedia.
